Wetland Delineation Report / Certification.Encroachments upon wetlands require state/federal permit applications accompanied by a wetland delineation report. These permitting programs require detailed assessments to determine the wetland classification and impacts of any proposed project. A Wetland Delineation Certification is an ecological field study that locates the wetland-upland boundary on a client's property. A delineation requires a detailed analysis of the soil, vegetation and water on the client’s property using a methodology proscribed in the US Army Corps of Engineers 1987 Wetland Delineation Manual. Only trained wetland biologist can reliably carry out a wetland delineation. Will your project require a wetland delineation? If your property includes creeks, bogs, streams, swamps, natural ponds or lakes, wetland vegetation or hydric soils then you will likely need a Wetland Delineation. JNE’s wetland biologists can quickly and accurately determine if your property may require a wetland delineation by a brief survey of the area, performing sampling the soil, and determining the presence of hydrophytic vegetation. If a wetland delineation is needed, then a more intensive field study
is required to determine the upland-wetland boundary. The delineation
will
be required as part of the permit application that you submit to
the US Army Corps of Engineers. A wetland delineation includes an extensive
analysis
of the ecology carried out by a JNE wetland biologist specializing
in delineation. |
